Spirulina which grows in very alkaline waters, is considered an alkaline food which helps our body towards more alkalinity. It's a great balancer for diets filled with acidic foods such as sugary food, meat, chicken, burgers, french fries, coke, sodas, etc. which our children love eating. Spirulina is a perfect iron supplement for those who are iron deficient (anemic). It is great for keeping our children's eyes healthy as we are aware our children spend hours and hours watching TV, playing with their iPhone and iPad and playing video games...when unsupervised.
